How we can help

New Pathways offers free face to face careers advice for people aged 19 and over in the North East of England who want to start or get back into work.

Our friendly trained advisers can help you get to where you want to be in life by providing practical ongoing support.


Advice on… skills and qualifications

Your adviser will help you to assess your current skills and think about any new ones you might need to move on. They can also give you information on qualifications or training and help you to get started with the right course. If you need help to meet the costs of studying, your adviser can tell you what’s available and help you to get it.


Advice on… setting goals

If you know that you want to do something but aren’t sure exactly what, your adviser will be able to help you work out what’s right for you. You’ll also get your own Career Action Plan to help you keep a record of the advice provided and the next steps you need to take.


Advice on… jobs and work

Contact New Pathways today!From information on jobs and careers that might interest you to advice on how to get into a particular job or career, your adviser can help you decide on your next move. Once you’ve got a job your adviser will support you through the first few weeks.


Advice on… CVs, application forms and interviews

Your adviser will provide lots of hints and tips and work with you until you you’ve got your CV and application forms just right. They can also help to prepare you for interviews.
